ABC Nail Challenge - Dusty Miller

ABC Nail Challenge
Day 4
Priti Dusty Miller
Dusty Miller is a dusty jade green with gold shimmer. The gold in the bottle looks amazing but for some reason, it doesn’t translate onto the nail -______-. Nonetheless it’s a great polish and it’s the first Priti Polish I’ve tried. I never really tried Priti Polish, maybe because it was approximately $11 a bottle. But I got this deal from livingsocial where I paid $20 and got $40 worth of credit onwww.bloom.com, so I tried it out and got nail polishes! But that was a while back so I’m sorry I couldn’t share with you earlier! >.<;

ABC Nail Challenge - Bisbee

ABC Nail Challenge
Day 2
HAREpolish in Bisbee

Another great polish by HAREpolish. Sorry for the picture being a bit blurry! My camera isn’t super awesome :\! Bisbee is a teal jelly-creme that suspends gold hexagon glitters. This took about 2-3 coats to get opaque but looooove it!
You can purchase HAREpolish at Nikole’s etsy store. Most of the time her polishes are sold out, so you can either sign up for the email list to get emails when she restocks or follow her on Facebook.

For the New Year

Hello everyone! Sorry for the late post for the beginning of the New Year! :( I've been so busy working, that I even hit overtime hours at work, despite being a part time! LOL. I need to take advantage of that since school will be starting in about a little over 2 weeks! Anyways, before the New Year, my cousins came to visit me from Atlanta without their mom for the first time since November :(. It definitely wasn't the same but they definitely needed to keep the tradition of their mom coming here a few times a year. I stayed by my cousin for more than a week and she felt sad when I wasn't sleeping next to her the night I left. :'( But I am glad she and her brother came because it keeps my grandma happy and company while they are here. Anyways, to make it short, my cousin also stayed over my house so I did her nails and my nails. :P Her nails were based off of my nails and I added onto my nails based off of what I did on hers :P

For my nails, you can't really see the colors as well as I thought they would show up on my camera. But I tried to do the ombre mixed nails with Catrice Let's Mauve On on my pinky, China Glaze Something Sweet with OPI Teenage Dream layered over it on my ring finger, OPI DS Reserve on my middle finger, OPI Glitzerland on my index finger and for my thumb I have Misa Spark My Heart That's A Start. I also want to start displaying my rings along with my nails, something different each time to also display my growing collection of rings :P The bird ring was ~$4 on eBay, and I ordered the black version as well! I liked this ring because I believe Forever21 had a ring like this but I didn't get a chance to get my hands on it. And it is a two finger ring.

I added the leopard print on my thumb after I added it onto my cousin's ring finger as her accent nail. I used China Glaze Something Sweet for the spots.

For my cousin's nails, I did OPI Teenage Dream layered over China Glaze Something Sweet, because she really liked the layering combination on me. :P And as she saw me taking pictures of my nails, she wanted some "professional" pictures of her nails as well! LOL. The ring is from H&M for ~$6? The ring was one of my first rings that I got when I started with my ring collection.

This last picture is the current picture of my desk space that I rearranged after I got the jewelry stand, the sparkly K and the Hello Kitty (right underneath the K) for my secret santa this year (THANKS SO MUCH JENN♥♥) and I love it!!! Also, my cousin got me a Hello Kitty picture frame holder that says hello. I have some pictures to add but I haven't added them because my mom says they're going to get dusty, so she wants to laminate them and then put them up there. Also the pink and green Hello Kitty Plush and the Panda Hello Kitty was given to me by my cousin too! The Hello Kitty picture is something I got last year when they were launching the Hello Kitty collection in Sephora. The white organizational divider holds my highlighters for studying in the back, my nail tools in the front and my base and top coats on the side. It's magnetic but it doesn't hold itself up with so many things in it, so I have 2 watch boxes underneath it to make it higher for when I have pictures on the picture holder.

Thanks for stopping by and happy polishing! :)

This Christmas

Merry Christmas and happy holidays to those who celebrate the holidays! Today's quick post is a swatch of OPI Warm & Fozzie from their Muppets Collection. This is one of my favorites from the collection, that I knew I had to get. It's a warm brown copper with hints of gold and purple specks.

Thanks for stopping by and happy holidays again! :)

Hello there! Don't worry today's the last post about Kleancolor for now! :P Today's post is Kleancolor City Never Sleeps, which is a light black jelly base with small blue round glitters, gold and purple hex glitters. I layered 2 coats of City Never Sleeps over 1 layer of Zoya Raven.

I hope you enjoyed & happy polishing :)

Leopard Tutorial

Hello! Today is a tutorial for leopard/cheetah print! :) You don't necessarily have to use the same color combinations I did, and you can mix and come up with your own. Hope you enjoy!

First, you start with your base color and in this case, I used Essence Color & Go White Secrets

Next step is to make "random" spots and I used China Glaze Golden Spurs for this. You can make it in different shapes, whether it's like an oval or just a random blotch.

Next I used Kiss Nail Art Paint in Black and slightly made a 'C' on the spot and made a backward C on the other side of the spot BUT not connecting to the first C.

Continue doing this on the other spots and then I added 3 random black spots to fill in the empty space.

And this is the end of the tutorial. Make sure you seal your nail art with top coat but be sure it's dry before you apply the top coat or else it will smear. Sometimes it happens to me even though I let it dry for a long time too. So apply top coat with caution!

I hope you enjoyed and happy polishing! :)

[PW] + Nail De Royale Review Part 2

Hi everyone! I hope you're doing well and enjoying your week so far. Today's post includes my Nail De Royale second part review as well as tackling Pink Wednesdays at the same time so I hope you'll enjoy. :) If you haven't read my first part of the review, you can read it here. If you've read, Nail De Royale contacted me asking if I'd be interested in reviewing some of their products that they have available on their website and of course me; I never really had the honor of doing reviews for companies said yes!, was happy to do a review. This review is my honest opinion and I am not influenced in any way to give a review a certain way.

The second part of my review package were 2 jars of glitter - Isis 151507 Deshret and Isis 151510 Pschent. Deshret. I was really excited for these because that way I'm able to make frankens(!!♥♥) with them :D!

First is Isis Deshret, which contains red micro glitters and gold hex glitters. I've created a franken with Deshret by adding clear polish, OPI Bright Lights-Big Color and OPI DS Reflection which both polishes gave it a coral red with golden shimmer to the base. You can kind of see the red micro glitters compared to Royale Pink, which is why I like this franken a lot. This was 2 coats and 2 layers of top coat. The application and drying time was good but it was a little bit bumpier, but that's expected with hex glitters most of the time. I really think this is an awesome franken, and I haven't named it yet... perhaps anyone would like to name it?

Next is Pschent, which contains pink micro glitter and silver hex glitters. I added Pschent to clear polish and China Glaze Something Sweet to create a light bubble gum pink (slightly) jelly with silver hex glitters, though you can't see the red micro glitters much and decided to name it Royale Pink, which seems fitting :P This was 3 coats and 1 layer of top coat. You could do 2 coats, which I was semi-satisfied with but it showed the free edge as a white rectangle across my nails so I decided to cover that with another layer.

Overall, I really like the products that Nail De Royale has to offer, especially Isis which is only $2.99 a jar - and I'm definitely going to order more in the future for some frankens! Perhaps maybe I'll be able to create multiples of the same ones that maybe my followers/readers would like and I'd take requests as well, though I'm not a great frankenist. :P I also loooove the customer service that they give as well, they were really friendly and we talked throughout the process before I received my review package. I love their packaging as well because they used saran wrap over the polishes/jars and then wrapped it again with bubble wrap. This shows that they are careful and that they put care into their packaging when sending their orders out. :)

If you haven't noticed, I decided to use a different watermark, LOL. I get tired of things sometimes and then I start wanting to use something new so TADAAAA!

Hope you all enjoyed, happy polishing & happy Pink Wednesday! :)

"Classic" Cheetah/Leopard Combo

Hello everyone! Sorry for the lack of posts, I've been working 3 days straight after having 2 days of rest from when I came back home and boy am I exhausted! I haven't worked that much in a while either! Today's post is another color combination scheme of the cheetah/leopard print, which I will try to do more combinations of so that I can experiment on color combinations that work well together.

I have swatched a few polishes which I will try to have resized and posts scheduled so I won't seem like I'm abandoning the blog. I do have a package I'm waiting for and then I will try to squeeze in a giveaway as well.

For this color combination, I've gone back to the classic - brown cheetah/leopard print. For the base I used 2 coats of China Glaze Golden Spurs which is lighter than the normal brown and it includes a gold shimmer as well. The base of the accent nail is 3 coats of Essence Color & Go White Secret and to complete the print, I used Golden Spurs and a black nail art brush.

The Hello Kitty Pez was one of the things I brought back from Atlanta :). I got it at the Dollar Tree, which makes me even happier because normally Pez is about $2 (?), I forget because I haven't gotten them in a long time (probably when I was a kid).

Hope you enjoyed and happy polishing! :)

[PW] Pink Me I'm Good

Hey everyone - it's On Wednesdays We Wear Pink again! So today's mani. consists of a polish that I've had for a while now, more than a few months and I've showed it once, but never on my nails so today's the day!

OPI Pink Me I'm Good is a bright pink jelly that's packed with a bunch of gold glitters. Since it's a jelly, it took me 3 coats to get it to what you see, but it has a pretty good formula so you aren't waiting forever for it to dry. :P I love it a lot and it's definitely me! ;) On the accent nail, I used 1 layer of OPI Black Shatter over PMIG.

The picture shows my little cactus plant that my mom planted in a small pot in the other room and she added seashells in the pot as well - which makes it cute and picture worthy! :D

Hope you all enjoyed and happy polishing! :)

[PW] Easter Basket

How was everyone's week? Sorry I haven't posted in a week x_X; I've worked - even on July 4th so I could earn some extra money to spend since the bf's birthday's coming up in less than a week - EEK!

Today's On Wednesday's We Wear Pink is a franken that I got from Etsy called Easter Basket which is made by spookybones. It's a very pigmented dusty rose pink with small gold shimmer and sparse bar glitters in the bottle. This is in 2 coats and 1 coat of top coat. *please don't mind the nubs - my nails were long and then they broke very easily so now they're down to nubs wahh!*

On a side rant - My passport recently expired and I wanted to re-new/get a new one since the one I've been using, I got that before I was 16 to go with my family to Canada. I went to the post office today to try to send it in, but apparently it didn't work - which I don't understand since I did my reading before going. (1) And it says that you need proof of US citizenship and proof of identity - which it says previous or current US passport book. The post office lady said I couldn't use my passport because it was expired - so doesn't that count as a "previous" passport book? -_-  (2) She asked if I had a NYS driver's license or NYS ID and I told her I didn't have that. She didn't understand how I'm 19 and I don't have either of those. Well, I took the permit test last year and didn't pass so I was planning to take it again this summer - which hasn't happened yet since my passport expired and I need that in order to get the NYS driver's license/permit & I don't want to pay the fee for a non-driver's ID if I plan to drive in the future - which would be another fee. -__- (3) Since the NYS option didn't work, she suggested for my parents to come so that they can be my proof of identity - I said okay but I remember reading about having to fill out a form and she tells me I don't need that? So both things that are on the application didn't apply to me....... (4) To make matters worse, she told me that I needed an appointment.... it was almost 2 o'clock and there was no one there doing passport paperwork... REALLY?! And she said the earliest she could schedule me is July 22nd at 2 o'clock... -_- that was even worse because I went last week and the lady was able to do 4 applications within 40 minutes and her appointment book showed 1 person per hour... RIDICULOUS!

So I am going to call the National Passport Information Center to clarify this "previous or current US passport book" issue.
/end rant - If you read this, THANKS FOR READING♥ BECAUSE YOU'RE AWESOME.

Hope you enjoyed & happy polishing :)

First Pink Wednesday!

Hey everyone! Hope you all had a great Wednesday and before Wednesday ends, I'd like to introduce something that I'll try to do every Wednesday which is On Wednesdays We Wear Pink! :) And to kick off on that here's the mani. I'll be showing you.

This is a franken that I created along with some others that I still need to re-take the pictures of. This is a coral pink with some subtle gold shimmer. I called it La Beauté des Coraux which is French for coral beauty. I chose French because the meaning itself sounded lame but in French it sounds cooler LMAO!. This is 2 coats and 1 coat of top coat. And in the next picture I added a floral nail art that I did with a dotting tool. I used OPI Alpine Snow and Misa Glitz, Glamour, Smile for the Camera

Hope you enjoyed my first Pink Wednesday and happy polishing! :)

Faye

Hey there! I just got through swatching polishes that I have in my collection that haven't been introduced here so hopefully I'll be able to post those soon. In the meanwhile, here's another Zoya that I recently got along with Dove and Caitlin.

Zoya Faye is from their Sunshine (Summer) Collection of this year. It's an awesome golden/bronze mauve and purple with gold sparkles. This polish really kicks butt - I love it!! This is shown in 2 coats and 1 coat of top coat. Definitely a favorite and I'm happy I picked Faye!

Hope you enjoyed and happy polishing! :)

3 Year Anniversary

Hey everyone! The bf and I's third anniversary of dating is closely coming (May 12th) =)♥ I'm super duper excited, except for the fact that, that day, we have class all day LOL. So instead, we're going to be celebrating tomorrow :)! Since it was our anniversary coming up, my procrastination made me want to do my nails and I didn't know what to pick so I asked him what color, he said blue, then I asked creme? glitter? shimmer? He said glitter. So I didn't really want to use blue glitters that I already had again, but I did include it differently & I hope you'll enjoy!!

The polishes have not made their debut in my blog except for one, so I'm killing 2 birds with 1 stone.
For my base, I have 1 coat of OPI Austin-tatious Turquoise from the Texas Collection over 2 coats of OPI Suzi Says Feng Shui. For my accent nail, I have Milani Gems, which is known to be a close dupe of Deborah Lippmann's popular Happy Birthday. I know Gems and Austin-tatious Turquoise have been out for a while, but I haven't been able to use them  yet so here's their debut. I recently got Gems as I browsed my Duane Reade because a lot of the times nail polishes come really slow in my area. :( But I am still happy to be able to get my hands on it, since I didn't want to dish out $18 for Happy Birthday. I also used Gems as a "celebratory" accent to highlight that there's a reason for a celebration, haha!

At first, I was planning to use Austin-tatious Turquoise by itself but I didn't like the sheerness of the polish even after 3 coats so I found Suzi Says Feng Shui which seemed like a close base-ish to Austin-tatious Turquoise.

I hope you enjoyed and happy polishing! :)

Cult Nails

Hey everyone! Quick update on my giveaway counting, I'm about half-way done... I believe! Lol and more than 234+ entries including additional entries and minus a few disqualified entries so far. I'm taking a break from studying for 2 exams I have on Thursday to post these long overdue swatches. You've definitely seen them tons of times, but here's my pictures! This set of pictures were actually my re-take of the original pictures that I was not satisfied with. Luckily there was better lighting in this picture and it looks a lot clearer than the original. Hopefully there will be better weather like this more often when my nails grow out. And don't worry I've taken in consideration and thought about what YOU would like to see on my blog. I hope to post about how I take care of my nails in the near future, when my nails grow out because I hate nubbins!

By now, I'm pretty sure that you've heard of Cult Nails, which is a nail polish company a blogger by the name of Maria of R3daily created. She created 4 nail lacquers and she just recently opened up pre-orders for her 2nd collection. And if you haven't gotten the first 4 nail lacquers maybe this will help you decide!

First nail lacquer up is Iconic. Maria describes this as a berry red with gold shimmer and red flakies.  The swatch displays 2 coats and 1 layer of top coat. What a total beauty ;) It worked with 1 coat for me but I used 2 in the swatch just in case.

Next up is Living Waters, Maria describes this as deep navy blue with green and blue micro-glitter. The swatch displays 2 coats and 1 layer of top coat. THIS IS AN AMAZING COLOR - I love ittttt!!<3 This polish was actually Maria's version in creating another nail blogger's color in creating how water looks at night with the shimmer. Definitely a must have and very unique in the nail polish world, in my opinion! I've actually worn this color for swatch and 2 mani's. :P

And here's My Kind of Cool Aid, which Maria describes as purple/gray with a shimmer; a "gravender" :P. The swatch displays 2 coats and 1 layer of top coat. This is definitely a different gray than what I'm used to seeing, which are normal or dusty grays.

Finally, the last one is Quench, which is described as a red polish with a very glossy finish. It definitely can work with different skin tones and the color changes depending on the lighting.

Overall, I love the formula which is B3F and organic =) and the drying time is quick as well. I'm very satisfied with Cult Nails and I'm definitely going to get the next collection!

Hope you enjoyed and I'll definitely try to finish with the giveaway entries as soon as I can (after exams?)

My Space Nails

I've been meaning to do these nails for a while. SPACE NAILS and credits go to Asami's Space Nail tutorial. I hope you enjoy, they don't look much like space to me (compared to Asami's) but it reminds me more of a nebulous cloud in space, maybe because I sponged too much =P

Materials I used:
OPI Suzi Skis in the Pyrenees Suede (since I didn't have ManGlaze Matte is Murder or Zoya Dovima)
OPI DS Original (for the holo part)
Misa No Shrinking Violetta (for the sheer duochrome part)
Pa Nail Color A125 (for the stars)

I got a compliment today when I wore them out for the first day. :)
Hope you like them as much as I do!~
happy polishing
and don't forget to enter into my CSN giveaway (ends March 12) and my 300 follower giveaway (March 26)! Just to clarify, the picture is from google and it is not the actual polishes that I will be giving away :P

Late Post

Helloooooo everyone! Sorry for not posting in a while, I've been busy a lot but that doesn't mean I've neglected my nails! :P This is from the vault, you might be able to know that it's been a while - Zoya 3 Free Nail Polishes because they reached 20,000 Facebook followers. So here are my swatches, which weren't that great, in my opinion since I'm looking back at these. :P

First one is Astra, it's mostly a clear base with red/fuchsia packed glitter and there's barely any clear spaces. The swatch is 2 coats and 1 layer of top coat, pretty nice and shiny :)

The second, which is my favorite, Crystal. I've been wanting this for a long time after seeing it on blogs *drool* and I jumped on this chance to get it :) It's a metallic blue with gold flecks and silver glitter packed in. VERY BEAUTIFUL. I believe the swatch is 2 or 3 coats and 1 layer of top coat, which looks the same to me :P

The last one is Nova, my least favorite of the 3 :\ but it's a red-purple but more purple tone jelly base with silver glitters packed in. The swatch is 2 coats and 1 layer of top coat.

hope you all enjoyed & happy polishing! :)
