There's a Halloween party at my college tomorrow so I did this yesterday night. I HAD THE CRAZIEST DAY TODAY! So if you care to know please read on, if not you can skip ahead to the pictures. So my costume, (I'm going to be Lady Gaga LOL don't kill or hate or bash me pleasethanks[: ) which I ordered on Monday was supposed to be delivered today to me. I waited and waited until I decided to CALL them because the only email I ever got from Party City was a "thank you for your order." So it turns out that one of my items in my order is not available so they DIDN'T ship out my order AT ALL. -_____- I didn't find out until today and I need my costume for tomorrow night. If I still waited, my order would've been shipped and received by MONDAY. DUDE HALLOWEEN'S OVER BY THEN. So I'm waiting for my refund and in need of a costume because I already have the blonde wig. I looked online and found a Ricky's location that has the one I originally wanted in my size too! I'm rushing over there and got the costume. I missed my train by a few seconds and as I'm waiting for the next one which as been over 10 minutes, there's an announcement saying that the B and D train are being rerouted onto the F line due to debris on the track (IN THE TUNNEL?!) FML. So then I had to take the train uptown to transfer to the N, take the N and had to walk home. UGH. What a crazy day. -____-
Anyways, onto my Halloween nails. Inspired by a tumblr picture I saved a while back, blood drip nails. I admit I had a lot of difficulty with this because even the results doesn't make it seem like it's blood but rather red slime lol.
I used: 3 coats of OPI Bubble Bath as the base and Wet N Wild Red Red for the 'blood' since I don't have a deep dark red and plus I don't own that many reds.
left hand - my favorite is my ring finger♥
left hand including thumb
right hand (which I don't like as much as my left hand lol obviously since I'm right handed)
hope you enjoyed and I'll post up my costume in my next post ;)

These are awesome! Glad you got your costume =D
ReplyDeleteFreshie: Thank you! :) It took me a while to do them because some came out horrible on many of them so I had to redo them. Hehe but glad you like them! =)
ReplyDeletethat turned out SO awesome!! haha
ReplyDeleteKatrina: THANKS! :)♥
ReplyDeleteit looks great! how did you do this design? do you just let the polish drip down your nail, or did you actually draw the dips on and fill them in?
ReplyDeleteClarissa: Thanks! I held the brush for a little bit until it was getting thicker at the end so that I could "drag" the red nail polish from the middle of my nails to the end. I randomly did them though hoping that they would look like blood.
ReplyDeleteI really like how it turned out :) I think drippy nails are so neat!
ReplyDeleteSamantha: Thanks!♥ It took me a while and from the picture I saved, I kind of deviated a bit from it because my strokes are thicker. But I've been wanting to these for a while! :)
ReplyDeleteThey look pretty bloody to me! Very cool and at least you got your costume in the end! Even if you did have to go around the world to get it haha.
ReplyDeleteI was going to do this for halloween too! So I will link you in my post :) x
