[PW] + Nail De Royale Review Part 1

Hey everyone! I hope you're all doing well :) Today's Pink Wednesday features China Glaze Pool Party! This is shown in 2 coats and 1 layer of top coat. The picture isn't exactly color accurate because it's hard to capture its color but it's definitely a beauty and a favorite summer polish for me. Along with that I added a small nail art to the mani. as well so I hope you'll like it.

This is my honest review that is coming from me only and I am not influenced by anyone to do a review a certain way. Nail De Royale contacted me to do a review which I was happy to do. They were really friendly and they sent me a few items to review, 2 of which are in the picture above. China Glaze Pool Party and Omega Labs USA Nail Art Striper Brush in #175 were both used in this portion of the review. I received all my items for the review wrapped in plastic wrap and then bubble wrapped to make sure I received the package perfectly. I love how they carefully packaged it and went the extra mile with it. :) The formula was excellent for both and the striper brush as well. It's a bit watery compared to the other striper brushes that I have but I like this one more. I like this one more because when I'm doing nail art and it gets on the side of my nail and onto my skin, it comes off easier than the others which are more like regular creme polishes. Definitely a plus so far on my review and I'll be completing the next portion of my review, hopefully soon. :P

Stayed tuned and hope you enjoyed! :) Happy polishing!

129

Hey everyone :) Hope you're doing well, me? Not so much. I recently got bit by a mosquito(s) and I have 5 on my face, 2 on my neck and 5 on my left arm. One of them on my arm is on my index finger and it's swelling a bit and it makes me feel like Quasimoto (from the Hunchback of Notre Dame), which I joke around with the bf about.

But here's my nails that I've had on for 2 days, which I picked out for my first day of job orientation at my new job. Alix Avien 129 is a polish my bf brought back for me from Bangladesh and I love the brand! The formula and application is good. There's a good drying time as well and it doesn't even smell bad compared to another one he brought back. He brought back a few of this brand but I wish he brought back more but I don't think there was a lot of variety when he saw them. But I love this color! It's like a red-pink fuchsia shimmer. And this is shown in 2 coats and 1 layer of top coat. Minor tip wear on the bottom from doing things with water. But still a beauty! :)

I didn't take a very good picture - but this was taken with my phone at my train station haha! It was about 8pm and it was still pretty nice outside ~ I just wished my camera caught more sun light though. :\

For those who are wondering, I'm holding a cheetah print heart necklace! It's from Forever21 and it was $4.80! I ordered some black rhinestones on eBay and I can't wait until they come in so I can decorate the black cheetah print areas with black rhinestones :B♥

Hope you all enjoyed and happy polishing! :)

Barracuda

Helloooo everyone :) So I'm pretty psyched about tomorrow because I have orientation for another job that I went to the interview for and after the interview, they offered me a job!! The job actually starts in the middle/end of August but I'm going to have training and whatnot first. :)

Today I'll be showing a polish that I've been hunting down for a while and I finally found one in Rite Aid. It was on the top shelf and I had my brother lift me up so I can get it LOL rather than ask an employee. :P It took me 4 tries to finally find it - the other times I saw the display, it was already gone :(

Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Barracuda is a soft pastel light blue creme that applies like a dream! Seriously, I was so surprised that it had good application and formula. It wasn't streaky either and it only took 2 coats! Definitely worth my wait. I almost resorted to eBay for it - and I'm glad I didn't haha. The happiness of finding and getting it myself felt better. :P

Hope you enjoyed and happy polishing! :)

[PW] Pink Me I'm Good

Hey everyone - it's On Wednesdays We Wear Pink again! So today's mani. consists of a polish that I've had for a while now, more than a few months and I've showed it once, but never on my nails so today's the day!

OPI Pink Me I'm Good is a bright pink jelly that's packed with a bunch of gold glitters. Since it's a jelly, it took me 3 coats to get it to what you see, but it has a pretty good formula so you aren't waiting forever for it to dry. :P I love it a lot and it's definitely me! ;) On the accent nail, I used 1 layer of OPI Black Shatter over PMIG.

The picture shows my little cactus plant that my mom planted in a small pot in the other room and she added seashells in the pot as well - which makes it cute and picture worthy! :D

Hope you all enjoyed and happy polishing! :)

Superhero Surprise

Hey everyone! I hope you're all doing well :). Today's my bf's 21st birthday and I thought I'd surprise him by doing a Superhero mani. because he's been bugging me to do them especially since I found some on tumblr and posted them on his Facebook wall haha. So it took me hours to do these and I realized afterwards that I should've done my left hand with the Superhero symbols and my right hand with their heads - OOPS and too late haha! :P Next time. It was a challenge for me to do the symbols on my right hand but I'm pretty proud of most of them!

For the skin, I used a franken I created for it which was created with OPI Alphine Snow and China Glaze Sunset Sail

Thumb: Batman and his symbol - Batman reminds me of Swiper from Dora the Explorer LOL.
  • China Glaze Bermuda Breakaway
  • China Glaze Lemon Fizz
  • Kiss Nail Art in Black

Index: Green Lantern - I'm most happy about the symbol
  • OPI Suzi Loves Cowboys
  • Essie Pretty Edgy
  • Kiss Nail Art in Black
  • Kiss Nail Art in White

Middle: Superman - I really like how the Superman symbol came out
  • China Glaze Bermuda Breakaway
  • Essie Dramatic Drachmas
  • China Glaze Lemon Fizz
  • Kiss Nail Art in Black

Ring: Wonder Woman - I'm proud of her face LOL
  • Essie Dramatic Drachmas
  • China Glaze Lemon Fizz
  • Kiss Nail Art in Black

Pinky: Flash - He looks a little funny to be but my bf doesn't think so. I also like how the Flash symbol came out.
  • Essie Dramatic Drachmas
  • Kiss Nail Art in Black
  • OPI Alpine Snow
  • China Glaze Lemon Fizz

My bf loved the surprise and he even uploaded it onto his Facebook so his friends can be jealous haha! And the picture was taken with his iPhone on the train.

Hope you all enjoyed and happy polishing! :)

Posts Stealer!

Hey everyone, not a nail post today but I just found out via email from an awesome blogger, Barbara from Biba's Beauty Corner that there's a blogger that stole a few of my posts and other posts from other bloggers too! Thanks Barbara for the heads up because I really didn't know someone stole my posts, but it's hilarious! The funny thing is the ironic posts she stole - which end with <3katherine, which I end in every one of my posts.

Here's the blog: http://buzznail.blogspot.com/ and some of the posts that she stole:
Nautical - http://buzznail.blogspot.com/2011/03/nautical.html - She's lucky it doesn't show my watermark because those pictures came straight from my phone
Current Nails + Picture - http://buzznail.blogspot.com/2011/03/current-nails-picture.html - My baby cousin is in the post.....
Handwriting Tag - http://buzznail.blogspot.com/2011/03/handwriting-tag.html - Enough said in the picture, MY BLOG NAME AND BLOG URL
CSN Giveaway Winner - http://buzznail.blogspot.com/2011/03/giveaway-csn-giveaway-winner.html
From the Vault - http://buzznail.blogspot.com/2011/03/from-vault.html - My watermark
Space nails - http://buzznail.blogspot.com/2011/03/my-space-nails.html - My watermark
Late Post on Zoya - http://buzznail.blogspot.com/2011/03/late-post.html - My watermark
CSN Giveaway - http://buzznail.blogspot.com/2011/03/giveaway-csn-stores.html - My blog name is stated in the post saying that CSN is sponsoring the giveaway.

This is hilarious. AND whoever made the blog doesn't even allow comments haha.

I'm glad that most of my pictures are watermarked so I can laugh whenever I see blogs like this steal my posts. :P

Gone too far

Okay, I want to start out by thanking everyone for your support in the picture incident. I have spoken with the blogger, and everything has been taken care of, and will not be happening again. It is VERY frustrating to have your work taken (lol!!!!!), mistake or not. I do have something to say though. While corresponding with the blogger, I'm extremely upset to learn what was going on behind the scenes. In no way is it okay to send violent emails, or use racial slurs. This disturbs me so much, and literally made me think about whether or not I wanted to continuing with my blog (What blog lol! And even after this post, you're still stealing posts from other bloggers and '...whether or not I wanted to continuing with my blog' doesn't make sense LOL). I do this for fun, and love sharing my manis with you all. I don't want this blog to be the cause of any stress. I am not angry at those of you that left comments regarding picture stealing, since it was a fact that my pictures we cropped so that my watermark was no longer visible. whether it was done by the blogger or not, it was done, and not checked on. She has apologized for this, and I hope she checks on her friends pictures from now on. I truly love that you guys support me, but this is crazy and has gone too far. These kinds of actions are not okay, and will not be tolerated here on my page (exactly why you don't have a profile page and do not allow comments on your 'blog' right?!).

Hope this made you laugh. :)

Nfu Oh 66

Hey everyone ~ hope you're all doing well and sorry for the late post! Today's post is my other Nfu Oh that I got with Nfu Oh #65.

Nfu Oh 66 is a light green holo that is opaque in 2 coats. I used GOSH Fix Base Coat and no top coat. The formula and application was good and it dries quickly. The 1st picture was taken indoors, 2nd and 3rd pictures was taken outdoors but it was a cloudy day after it rained and the 4th, 5th and 6th pictures was taken indoors.

Recently I've seen bloggers do a double lightning bolt nail art with tape and for this one, I freehanded the lightning bolts. On my ring finger I have black on top of white on top of Nfu Oh 66. And on my index I have white on top of black on top of Nfu Oh 66.

Hope you all enjoyed and happy polishing! :)

[PW] Easter Basket

How was everyone's week? Sorry I haven't posted in a week x_X; I've worked - even on July 4th so I could earn some extra money to spend since the bf's birthday's coming up in less than a week - EEK!

Today's On Wednesday's We Wear Pink is a franken that I got from Etsy called Easter Basket which is made by spookybones. It's a very pigmented dusty rose pink with small gold shimmer and sparse bar glitters in the bottle. This is in 2 coats and 1 coat of top coat. *please don't mind the nubs - my nails were long and then they broke very easily so now they're down to nubs wahh!*

On a side rant - My passport recently expired and I wanted to re-new/get a new one since the one I've been using, I got that before I was 16 to go with my family to Canada. I went to the post office today to try to send it in, but apparently it didn't work - which I don't understand since I did my reading before going. (1) And it says that you need proof of US citizenship and proof of identity - which it says previous or current US passport book. The post office lady said I couldn't use my passport because it was expired - so doesn't that count as a "previous" passport book? -_-  (2) She asked if I had a NYS driver's license or NYS ID and I told her I didn't have that. She didn't understand how I'm 19 and I don't have either of those. Well, I took the permit test last year and didn't pass so I was planning to take it again this summer - which hasn't happened yet since my passport expired and I need that in order to get the NYS driver's license/permit & I don't want to pay the fee for a non-driver's ID if I plan to drive in the future - which would be another fee. -__- (3) Since the NYS option didn't work, she suggested for my parents to come so that they can be my proof of identity - I said okay but I remember reading about having to fill out a form and she tells me I don't need that? So both things that are on the application didn't apply to me....... (4) To make matters worse, she told me that I needed an appointment.... it was almost 2 o'clock and there was no one there doing passport paperwork... REALLY?! And she said the earliest she could schedule me is July 22nd at 2 o'clock... -_- that was even worse because I went last week and the lady was able to do 4 applications within 40 minutes and her appointment book showed 1 person per hour... RIDICULOUS!

So I am going to call the National Passport Information Center to clarify this "previous or current US passport book" issue.
/end rant - If you read this, THANKS FOR READING♥ BECAUSE YOU'RE AWESOME.

Hope you enjoyed & happy polishing :)
