Busy Bee

So this past week has been hectic for me, studying for finals and finals. Today was my last day of final exams so I'm glad my summer has just begun. I'm happy to say that I did not break my 1 month ban of no buying nail polishes & it's almost over!! ~ June 4th will be the day I can finally buy nail polishes again :p! I have pictures of my nails for this week as well as swatches from my recent haul (that is excluded from my nail polish ban).

Haul:
- Color Club Si Vous Please
- Color Club Take Me To Your Chateau
- Essie Lapis of Luxury

China Glaze Lemon Fizz, Strawberry Fields, Medallion, and Nova

OPI What's With The Cattitude, Rumple's Wiggin', Jade is the New Black and Alpine Snow

This week's nails:
- OPI What's With The Cattitude (Shrek Collection)
- OPI Rumple's Wiggin'
+ Sinful Colors Black on Black (mickey mouse)
+ Rhinestones
+ China Glaze Nova (gradient)
+ LA Colors Nail Art (gradient)

left hand:

right hand:

Afterwards, a day later, I kept looking at my nails because the mickey mouses were not proportional and slightly disorted and being a perfectionist I am, I redid them into silver gradients rather than mickey mouse.

Swatches:
*note: the swatches are each on individual nails because I don't have much nail polish remover left and I forgot to buy some. So I'm trying to make sure I could finish swatching and still be able to remove them, lol. :P

Index: OPI Jade is the New Black (dusty unique green)
Midde: Essie Lapis of Luxury (rich cornflower blue)
Ring: China Glaze Strawberry Fields (strawberry pink & gold flecked shimmer)
Pinky: China Glaze Lemon Fizz (pastel yellow)
* all the above were 2 coats with no top coat. LOVE THEM♥ :)

Index: Color Club Si Vous Please! (frost shimmer)
Middle: Color Club Take Me To Your Chateau (pastel blue) + Si Vous Please!
Ring: China Glaze Medallion (clear base gold glitters)
Pinky: China Glaze Nova (clear base silver glitters
* all the above were 2 coats with no top coat. LOVE THEM♥ :) it's my first color club bottle and I'm VERY pleased with Take Me To Your Chateau <3.

Accomplished!

Well, this was sooner than I thought. I didn't plan to post a second time but I did!

So, my brother was downloading and is still downloading a game on his computer. The point in the previous statement was to say the source of my boredom in not being able to do anything on my laptop, such as watch movies or tv shows online. With that being said, I decided to swatch the rest of the Zoyas that I haven't swatched.

But I'm glad these are the last few bottles that may interest you in deciding what colors you might want to exchange for - if you've decided to do the Zoya Exchange (which ends June 30th by the way). I might even consider doing the exchange again for more bottles! :D

Zoya Midori
lime green and gold yellow shimmer. the swatch is two coats and no top coat. omg i'm absolutely in love with Midori! It's so amazing the color <3.

Zoya Pippa
bright yellow creme. the swatch is two coats and one coat of seche. bright normal yellow. i love it but it comes out uneven when applied :x also looks a little funny on my skintone - i don't think yellow cremes work on me, lmao. nonetheless i love the color and maybe it would work if i had pale skin LOL. T_T maybe pastel yellow will look nice :x i wish i could get banana bandana!! :'( i wonder how that would look on me.

Zoya Raven
black creme. the swatch is two coats and one coat of seche. amazing easy to apply black that i have. the only other black i've used was sinful colors black on black. for the formula comparison, raven was by far easier to apply and it didn't make the skin around my nails black whenever i applied too much on the edges. love the black! <3.

Zoya Shivon
red purple with golden orange. the swatch is two coats and no top coat. ohmygod this is unbelievably beautiful – the golden orange undertones are sooo hard to capture. my camera and my phone can’t capture it’s beauty *cries* I thought Shivon was pretty nice but I think it’s so much more beautiful now, especially irl. :’( I’m sad I can’t share the exact swatch with you but I’d definitely recommend Shivon if you’re looking for something unique. this is definitely one of my favorites in the bunch. simply took my breath away<3.

Zoya Suvi
dark green with green shimmer. the swatch is three coats and no top coat. three coats to reach bottle color but still beautiful <3.

Zoya Veruschka
close to suvi, dark green with silver green shimmer but it’s matte. the swatch is two coats without top coat & with top coat (second set). dries pretty quick for a matte about 15~30 seconds. very close to suvi but a little different in terms of the shimmer but still beautiful. looks great without top coat and with top coat <3.

Zoya Zara
light purple with strong golden duochrome shimmer. the swatch is three coats without top coat – formula is a bit sheer. the golden duochrome doesn’t show as much in my pictures because my camera isn’t capable of caputuring most of it. it is a beauty irl. definitely recommend if you’re looking for light purple that’s unique for those who are unsure about the Zoya exchange.

I’m finally done with all my Zoya swatches! I feel so accomplished XD! Overall, I’m OVERLY satisfied with my exchanges and would definitely exchange for more – if I only had old polishes lying around, lol! Anyways, I’ll be thinking of more nail ideas to come up with since school is almost over (one more day and then finals).

see you soon,

Zoya Group 2

Today was 'supposed' to be rainy & thunderstorms but it ended up being really SUNNY AND HOT. I wore sneakers out of my house thinking it would rain and it would come in handy but no it did not -.- I got my a hair cut today - just a trim but I really needed it since my hair was getting longer with split ends and my bangs were getting too long. Anyways, spent a lot of time in the Walgreens and Rite Aid in my neighborhood stalking for Hidden Treasure. Still haven't gotten my hands on it but I'm hoping I could get it through Katrina's giveaway (check my most recent giveaway post).

Anyways, so I'm feeling as if I need to make up for the days I haven't swatched so there'll be a bunch of swatches today.

Zoya Ivanka from Zoya's 2010 Summer "Sparkle" Collection
color: mermaid green sparkling metallic/glass fleck glitter
swatch: two coats and no top coat
review: love the color & the swatch picture does not do any justice! It shines different shades of green from the glitter but it's definitely a keeper! easy to apply and dries quickly. Not a hassle to take off ~ comes off easily and very smooth when it's dried. :)

Zoya Ki
color: duochrome of purple and black
swatch: two coats and no top coat
review: love the color! It's so different and unique. Easy to apply and dries quickly. :D

Zoya Kotori
color: bright blue shimmer over a sheer black base
swatch: three coats and no top coat
review: the black base is sheer so it took one more coat than usual

Zoya Lexi
color: shimmering multichrome shade of mauve, pink, silver and little blue
swatch: two coats and no top coat
review: an awesome unique shade of mauve and pink with shimmer frost of silver. It's darker than most pinks I have and it's definitely different from what I've seen.

Zoya Luna
color: light shimmering sheer silver gray with shiny silver glitter
swatch: two coats and no top coat
review: very shiny and glittery glam. Two coats but you have to make sure it's even or else your nail lines shows.

American Apparel is going to have 6 new polishes coming out!
I'm so excited I want to get them :)!
except for the top coat since I have my seche top coat. <3

Harley Indigo

I have to admit, I'm slacking on my blog. :(
I guess I'm not as motivated to do my nails as much - or maybe there are no sparks for creativity.
The good news is that I haven't broken my ban :]. I went to Walgreens near my college and saw that there's a new display for the Sally Hansen with Hidden Treasure, however it was the samples that they sent to Walgreens and Hidden Treasure was all gone *cries* They said they will definitely restock when they sell all the sample/trial :( Hope it won't be gone again after they restock lol.

But I do provide you with 2 days worth of SOTD & NOTD.
Hope you enjoy and don't kill me. ><
