New Year!

It's another year coming up in a few hours and just before it hits New Years, I wanted to show you my mani. It's pretty simple though but I like it.

First, I finally got my lemming, Sephora by OPI Worth My Weight unfortunately it looks ODDLY VERY SIMILAR to Sephora by OPI It Looks Like Raindeer. Which I will do a comparison post soon. Anyways I used 2 layers of WMW and then I layered it with OPI Bring on the Bling to add more glitter to my mani.

hope you enjoyed,
happy polishing
& HAPPY NEW YEAR!

For Audrey

Hey everyone! Hope all is well :) So, the bf is officially gone as of yesterday but today we skype-d and I miss him so much! :( But hopefully time goes by quicker!

Here's one of my all time favorite polishes, no not Chanel Nouvelle Vague but China Glaze For Audrey! This was one of the first batch of nail polishes I got when I started and this is my favorite. No nail art with it yet, but I'll probably do something with it! This is 2 coats and 1 coat of top coat. =) I love love love this.

Sorry for the half blurry picture :( my camera sucks, need to save money for a new one!

Anyways happy early new year & happy polishing! I'll post up my New Year Mani. tomorrow =)

Sparkling Coconut Kiss

My last post for today will be a layer post of 2 new polishes that I haven't shown in my blog. First is, China Glaze Coconut Kiss. It's a shimmery frosty purple that's sooo beautiful! It's my favorite purple now :) To reach bottle opacity, it took 2 coats of Coconut Kiss. I used top coat on my pinky and index finger and it seems that top coat makes it less shiny and frosty! :(

And for the layering, I layered 1 coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust over Coconut Kiss. Totally beautiful and so sparkly that my camera can't capture it and it looks blurry haha.

hope you enjoyed,
happy polishing
& happy early new year! :)

Classic Leopard

The picture shows the snow from LAST NIGHT which was already around the middle of my shins (around 10pm) because I really had to use the bathroom and we were 2 blocks from home so they told me to go home first. And when my parents got home (from the car) around 12-1am-ish, they said the snow was at their knees. It's even higher now & it's approx. 20 inches here in Brooklyn, which is a little bit outside of Manhattan. Luckily, some teenagers offered to shovel the front of our house. So my dad doesn't have to work so hard at it because it's been a tiring night and day since the car kept sliding yesterday on the way home, which made me realize that I will buy a 4 wheel drive car in the future.

So here's my first swatch + nail art (repeat) for China Glaze Classic Camel. Classic Camel is a beige-cashmere-kinda creme with gold glitter. It took 2 coats to reach the bottle color. The formula was a little thick and wonky, maybe because of the glitter not mixing very well with the creme? But top coat smoothed it over and made it look beautiful. Maybe for me, it feels odd for me to have it on my nails, not maching? IDK! Lol, but I like it. :)

* There's no regular picture only flash picture of the swatch because the regular no flash picture doesn't show the true color of Classic Camel.

* I don't know why my camera doesn't focus on the whole picture and it usually blurs out one nail at least :( I used zoom a little bit to 1.3 because flash close up sometimes ruins the outcome of the nail picture.

anyways, here's one of a few posts today! hope you enjoyed, hope you enjoy the snow (if you got any) and happy polishing! :)

Blingish Mani.

In my previous mani, I didn't want to overload with pictures. So after a day of wearing it, I wanted to add something to it, more specifically, a crown, you know.. McQueen, yep. So on my right hand I put rhinestones in a shape of a 'crown' but the funny thing is that when you look at the nails regularly and not sideways, it looks like the letter E. :P And on my left hand I made a bow with pink rhinestones and a larger clear rhinestone.

hope you enjoyed & happy holidays (again)! :)

All Hail McQueen

Today's post is a recent mani. that I've been wearing for the past few days just because I couldn't resist. I originally found it at Ricky's but then I felt like it was too expensive so I didn't get it. And then when I wanted it, it wasn't there until a few days ago when I found it in the store again. I quickly bought it and I'm so glad I got it because I love it! I'm also wearing the heart ring I got from Amanda (from Fiercely Fresh Fingertips) :P♥

So here is Butter London All Hail McQueen. It's a light brown with a warm subtle holographic. I love it! It looks like a conservative color but when the light hits it, BAMM BEAUTIFUL. I used 3 coats for this because I wanted full coverage, but you could probably get away with 2. I'm seriously thinking about getting a back up bottle, or maybe for my giveaway *hint hint* LOL it's not decided yet.

hope you enjoyed, happy holidays and happy polishing!

Fail Mani

So I've been MIA because of finals! :( Studying my butt off and I hope it pays off! Anyways, a while back when I had my first giveaway some people suggested that I should post up fail mani's as well because sometimes not all mani's go the way you want it to! I had this idea for a Christmas/Winter theme where it was white but gray-ish base with glittery top coat over it to make it look like snow. Well, that was a complete fail!

What I used:
Catrice London's Weather Forecast
China Glaze White Out ("sponged" with a bounty LOL)
Sinful Colors Pearl Harbor
China Glaze Nova

hope you enjoyed & happy polishing! (:

The Start of Something Fantastic!

I want to transform my nail blog into a blog, that not only includes nail polish and nail art, but I'd like to incorporate more beauty and fashion things that I like also. I hope this doesn't bore anyone.

But like Forever21, who has something called "Fabulous Finds," I decided to create somthing similar to that but I call it "Fantastic Finds," where I will post about things I find that are at a great price or something fantastic that I'd like to share with everyone.

nail polish picture credit to: http://www.duggal.com/connect/fashion/fashion-fact-17
which I found via Google
My first fantastic find includes 3 things. The first is a bottle of hot pink nail art. They mostly sell for $1.50 or more but I was able to find this Mattese Elite for $1! They sell these at Ricky's and their regular price for both nail art and nail polish is $5.99! That's outrageous for nail art to be $5.99!! Sadly, it was the only color available on sale.
My second and third fantastic find is 2 loose eyeshadows from Forever21 which I got for $0.99 each!! They retail $2.80 normally but I dug and found the white one. The one on the left is called Emerald City and the one on the right is called White Sparkle. I think I might use it sometimes to franken too :)

Hope you enjoyed my first post of Fantastic Finds and please let me know your opinion on this topic. :)
& of course, happy polishing!
