Halloween + Tag

As said, my halloween costume after my roller coaster day. :P

Yesterday was a party in my school. I went as Lady Gaga and my bf went as batman. I had the blond wig with straight bangs but it made me look awkward so I just took it off. Please ignore my face I know I look funny x__X.

The party was okay, I guess maybe that's because I'm not a party person. Entered into the Best Lady Gaga Costume Contest but didn't stay long enough to see who won. There was this girl that dressed as Lady Gaga except she only wrapped her head, bust area and bikini area with the yellow caution tape. Very risqué but hey I guess she really wanted to do that.

I wore leggings underneath because I felt that the dress was a little too sheer in the back and a little short. :x conservative me! :P

I want your Blood and I want your Revenge

There's a Halloween party at my college tomorrow so I did this yesterday night. I HAD THE CRAZIEST DAY TODAY! So if you care to know please read on, if not you can skip ahead to the pictures. So my costume, (I'm going to be Lady Gaga LOL don't kill or hate or bash me pleasethanks[: ) which I ordered on Monday was supposed to be delivered today to me. I waited and waited until I decided to CALL them because the only email I ever got from Party City was a "thank you for your order." So it turns out that one of my items in my order is not available so they DIDN'T ship out my order AT ALL. -_____- I didn't find out until today and I need my costume for tomorrow night. If I still waited, my order would've been shipped and received by MONDAY. DUDE HALLOWEEN'S OVER BY THEN. So I'm waiting for my refund and in need of a costume because I already have the blonde wig. I looked online and found a Ricky's location that has the one I originally wanted in my size too! I'm rushing over there and got the costume. I missed my train by a few seconds and as I'm waiting for the next one which as been over 10 minutes, there's an announcement saying that the B and D train are being rerouted onto the F line due to debris on the track (IN THE TUNNEL?!) FML. So then I had to take the train uptown to transfer to the N, take the N and had to walk home. UGH. What a crazy day. -____-

Anyways, onto my Halloween nails. Inspired by a tumblr picture I saved a while back, blood drip nails. I admit I had a lot of difficulty with this because even the results doesn't make it seem like it's blood but rather red slime lol.

I used: 3 coats of OPI Bubble Bath as the base and Wet N Wild Red Red for the 'blood' since I don't have a deep dark red and plus I don't own that many reds.

left hand - my favorite is my ring finger♥

left hand including thumb

right hand (which I don't like as much as my left hand lol obviously since I'm right handed)

hope you enjoyed and I'll post up my costume in my next post ;)

Purple

Today is the day to wear purple in memory of the recent suicides due to gay abuse. Since my nails are nubbins and I'm trying to grow them, I did swatches on plastic nails. Also, I have work, which doesn't allow me to have my nails painted. These are my favorites and I'm also introducing another new polish to my collection, but you probably have seen it one too many times already!

from left to right:
Essie Splash of Grenadine - pink purple jelly creme. 2 coats and 1 coat of top coat
OPI Show It and Glow It - purple, silver and blue glitter. 3 coats and 1 coat of top coat
China Glaze: Mummy May I - black creme with silver glitters. 3 coats and 1 coat of top coat

Jackelin $0.50!!

So I stopped by Walgreens today after work and after I bought a palette at Inglot for a swap, and I saw these babies for 2 for $1! I must confess that I saw these before but didn't bother with them because they lack color range! :( and they looked old because the polish separated. But these 2 were the good ones out of the batch.

On the left we have, Jackelin Allure and on the right we have Jackelin Pear. Allure is a grayed out blue with silver shimmer but it's very pigmented like they added fyrinnae in it to make this polish. The swatch is 2 coats of Allure and 1 coat of top coat. Pear is a metallic bronze with a green tone to it. Pear was on the harder side to capture but you can see the color perfectly from the bottle color. The swatch is 3 coats of Pear and 1 coat of top coat. Pear is a little opaque, but you could've gone with 2 coats but I decided to do 3 because a small VNL.

If anyone is interested in any Inglot Cosmetics (they don't sell their products online), I will gladly agree to a swap or custom purchase for you. Just write me an email & I'll email the store for a price quote. Please note that if you want the Freedom Eyeshadow Palettes, let me know how many eyeshadows, the number & it's color family and back up colors in case the store doesn't have a color that you wanted.

The reason I started putting it out there that I'm willing to get custom Inglot Cosmetics is because of a MUA swap. If you're more comfortable swapping with me on MUA just write me a message to itsofluffy (that's my MUA username).

I'm bringing this up because Inglot in the US is only available in 2 stores, one in NYC which is an hour train ride from my home and I work & go to school in the city so I'll be there frequently.

Glow Up Already!

Today I bring you another glitter nail polish from OPI's Burlesque Collection, Glow Up Already! It's a clear base with mainly yellow-gold glitter as well as other colors such as some pink/purple and blue. It's totally awesome! For my mani. I used 3 coats as opposed to 2 coats just to make sure that I get full coverage at the ends of my nails and 1 coat of top coat. :) I love love love the Burlesque glitters!!

Soo much school work to do! :( But my lack of focus has led me to post today! LOL.

Something Sweet

Hello there! :) I'm posting my current manicure/nails! I received this nail polish in a swap and ever sine I got it, I've been wanting to try this!

China Glaze Something Sweet
it's a pastel light pink with hints of lavender and a slight hint of gray because it isn't as bright as Wet N Wild's Tickled Pink although it seems very similar (I'll be doing a side by side comparison soon for these two cute pinks). I started off my manicure with base coat, 2 coats of Something Sweet and 1 coat of Seche top coat on my pinkie, middle fingers and my thumb. (*Note: the pictures of the manicure isn't as accurate. The closest to the actual color is the pictures of my manicure+nail art. My camera's wonky on certain colors x___x & notetoself:savemoneyandbuynewcameraandmakelightbox)

To add a little "nail art" to my manicure, I decided to do simple white stripes. I used Kiss Nail Art in White for the stripes, although they aren't perfectly straight, they look amazingly cute! I finally topped it off with Essie's Matte About You on my ring and index fingers. :) How cute is that? It reminds me of those round peppermint mints that are red and mainly white. :P

Show It And Glow It

Life is so hectic for me and I'm barely keeping up! But I do have time to do my nails when I can. :) Here's one of the Burlesque Collection from OPI for today. OPI Show It and Glow It! It's a clear base with mainly purple and silver glitter. There's tons of more color in it but I just don't feel like listing the smaller ones. It's freaking BEAUTIFUL! :) I ordered the whole collection and I'm definitely going to post more! <3

I've started using my right hand to swatch at times because I just love the length of my ring and pinkie fingers. :)

Which collection would you like to see next or which one is your favorite?

For the manicure, she used OPI Alpine Snow for the base and the black is Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear Black Out.

Oh Bunny, you're darn adorable♥

Today, I PRESENT TO YOU A NAIL ART POST! YAY! I know you all have been craving for nail art and I finally got inspired to do something after looking over my folder of nail art. I had tons of fun with this too.

First my mani was OPI Dating a Royal. I used 2 coats of DAR. You can see my nail broke on the side of my ring finger <:( boo. The formula was a bit water-y in my opinion for a creme, which surprised me but I totally dig the color! (excuse my lingo :P)

Next, for my other fingers (excluding ring) I used China Glaze Dorothy Who (1 coat) over it and then 1 coat of Seche top coat. For my ring finger I made a BUNNY! :) Isn't it adorable? This was my first attempt at a bunny and trust me, it came out the best the FIRST time and not the second or third time, odd.. But anyways I used OPI Alpine Snow for the white bunny, Wet N Wild Tickled Pink for the bunny's ears and nose and LA Colors Black Nail Art for the eyes. Then you wait a while for it to try because trust me you don't want to put top a few seconds later or else you'll smear your nail art. This happened to me a lot so wait a "considerable" amount of time before you apply so it doesn't smear and you have pretty darn cute nail art! =)

Tomorrow is the last day to enter my giveaway, which ends at 11:59 EST (NYC). So hurry and enter in! :)

hope you enjoyed,
<3katherine

PS: I've got it on slow picture tutorial (I'm not good with speaking on video) for those who want to try this! :)

20 Candles On My Cake

Today's another swatch day from the vault. Sorry don't kill me for not posting up nail art. I've been meaning to but I have no sparks of creativity and it's been like this x____x;

OPI 20 Candles On My Cake (black label)
it's like a light reddish pink mahogany creme, kind of hard for me to explain x_X but the picture explains it all! The swatch is 2 coats and 1 coat of top coat. I got this from a blog sale and I wanted to try an OPI black label. I love this color and teh application was easy peasy! :) The swatches were taken with indirect sunlight.

What's your favorite OPI label? Or what have you tried or what do you want to try?
My giveaway ends in 3 more days! Hurry and enter in!!!
I'm still accepting YOUR ruffian manicure pictures. (Just include blog url, nail polishes used & picture attached or link; EMAIL me)

Lucerne-tainly Look Marvelous

Hello :) Today's a picture of my current manicure. Sorry this mani is 2 days old though. I haven't thought of any nail design to do on it since it's so shiny and shimmery. But I will definitely come up with something!

OPI Lucerne-tainly Look Marvelous
a shimmery charcoal and silver foil. From the Swiss Collection. The mani is 2 coats of LLM and 1 coat of Seche top coat. Only a small slight sign of fading at the nail ends but not very noticeable. :) I love this color and it's so shimmer and eye catching ;).

Don't forget to:
1. Enter into my giveaway, 4 more days!!
2. I'm still taking Ruffian manicures pictures for a Ruffian mani post featuring different bloggers. Just write me an email with your blog url, what polishes you used & attach pics of your Ruffian mani! :)

Midnight Blues

Hello everyone! :) I hope you all had a great day today and sorry for posting so late! ><

Today is a recent swatch picture I did to show my secondary color of my Ruffian manicure better.

Duri Midnight Ride
sapphire blue with silver and orange/pink glitter. The swatch is 2 coats and 1 coat of Seche top coat. It applied nicely and it was only a little bumpy from the glitter but the top coat evens it out. :) The color is freaking amazing!!!!♥

Don't forget to enter into my giveaway, 5 more days
link available on my right hand column. :)
