I 'recently' joined makeupalley and immediately started swapping with people! It's so cool haha :P So today I have swatches from some of the swaps I'm doing right now. There's more coming when I receive them! :)

China Glaze Crown Jewels

a shimmery purple frost. The swatch is 3 coats and no top coat. Although it's on the sheer side, the color is beautiful.

China Glaze Heirloom Organza

a light brown or a lighter milk chocolate. The swatch is 2 coats and no top coat. It's a little more brown than I expected but I think it's a cute color. :P

MAC Love & Friendship

a purple mauve. The swatch is 3 coats and no top coat because it's on the sheer side. But nonetheless this is sooo amazing. I'm happy about this one the most out of the 3 and it's my first MAC nail polish. :) I want more MACs now♥

Teal & Taupe

Hope everyone enjoyed their July 4th weekend! Yesterday, I went to Rite Aid to print out pictures for my scrapbook that I'm giving to my boyfriend and I saw that Sally Hansen, Revlon and Sinful Colors were buy one get one 50% off. Of course I couldn't resist so I picked up 2 bottles Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure.

Here are the swatches for

Fairy Teal #450

teal. The swatch is two coats and no top coat. At first I didn't really like the brush for Sally Hansen's Complete Salon Manicure when using Hidden Treasure but it was sheer so I didn't mind. So I was kind of hesitant on using the brush when I was swatching them, but turns out better than I expected.

Commander in Chic #370

dusty grey brown - taupe. The swatch is two coats and no top coat. This is one of the only taupes I own besides Essie Chinchilly. I absolutely adore this color and after I saw swatches of this, I wanted it soo bad!

Happy 4th!

Since everyone is doing July 4th nails, I decided to do it also to try out stripes & stars. Too bad I have to take them off for work tomorrow. It sucks that I won't be getting time & a half tomorrow (I heard that we weren't) because the store closed down for 2 days. :( I really want the money, rawwwwrrrrr!! >:O

I used China Glaze Frostbite and Essie Dramatic Drachmas (DD is literally my only red bottle I own, lol. I'm not a huge fan of bright reds) as base colors with 2 coats each. I used LA Colors White Nail Art for the stripes and the stars. Yes I know the stripes should be on red and the stars should be on blue but I accidently did the star on the red and noticed afterwards that I skipped my middle finger for the star. Oh well :P

Sunflower

So I got a few items at Forever21 today, yay! This is a yay moment for me because I like the stuff I see online for Forever21 but I never have the patience to shop there, especially in NYC, there's TONS of women shopping there, it's always piles of mess, the lines are always long for both the fitting room and the cash registers. It's hard to look around there because it's not really organized, probably only color but that's too complicated when they stack different tops with the same colors. I haven't gotten to buy clothes in a while :P Busy day today and didn't get a chance to come home and post until now. I took the permit test and I didn't pass :( I guess that's what I get for studying for 1-2 hours the night before! I think I was pretty close to passing too. Oh well, I'm just going to study a bit more and take it again next week.

I attempted to make a sunflower, which was an epic fail in my opinion lol.

Happy July! :)

As promised, I would show some 'nail art'. When I had on HGIL, I was thinking about what I should do and out of the blue, gold stars came into my head and BAM - finished product. But I know I'm horrible at doing full stars so I did partial stars on each nail. :D

My nail art for Banana Badanna is coming soon :) hopefully tomorrow but if I can't hold it in, I might post today. No guarantees though!
